Raquel is a molecular biologist with experience in microbiology, immunology, and molecular genetics research. She received a BS in Biology from University of California, Los Angeles. During her undergraduate research, she joined Dr. Jake Lusis' laboratory where she studied targeted genes involved in Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. After graduating, she joined the Lusis laboratory full time as a staff research associate. While in the lab (2023-2024), her main role was to produce viral vectors needed to achieve current research objectives.
