Alum
Neel is a systems neuroscientist with experience studying how neuronal activity underlies perception. He received a BSc in Neuroscience (Cell and Molecular Stream) from McGill University. During his undergraduate research, he joined Prof. Erik Cook’s lab to investigate early stages of visual processing optogenetically and explore the implications of pupil activity in rodent recordings. While he was in the El-Shamayleh lab (2022–2023), Neel conducted visual neuroscience experiments and developed experimental software (MWorks & Matlab).
Next position: PhD Student at New York University.
