Ahmad Pourmohammadi

Postdoctoral Fellow

Ahmad is a Physician-Scientist with expertise in studying translational and systems neuroscience. During his MD training, he delved into the mechanisms underlying visual working memory impairments in patients with Multiple Sclerosis. After graduation, he explored temporal attention and interval timing in human and non-human primates. In the El-Shamayleh lab, he is using a combination of electrophysiological and optogenetic approaches to investigate causal mechanisms of visual perception in primates. Ahmad joined the lab in April 2024.
